Focus on Recovery in Birmingham, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers is a residence for women in early recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. FOCUS was recognized in 2001 as a public charity based on the belief these women need time to develop a physically powerful foundation in recovery. Located in Hoover, Alabama, FOCUS drug rehab centers is an apartment community that provides our alabama alcohol and drug rehab centers programs and a safe haven during the crucial period between primary treatment and a safe home plan. When Lulu Richardson founded FOCUS on Recovery in October 2001, she answered the question, what do women require to obtain and maintain sobriety. Lulu envisioned a long-term drug rehab centers recovery place for women to live after main treatment for substance abuse. Focus’ meager beginnings consisted of two partially furnished, donated apartments to serve eight women, a little empty office on Birmingham’s Southside and a monetary donation of $300.
FOCUS has now grown to eight drug rehab centers program apartments for 32 women, one apartment for two resident assistants living on site and single apartment for administrative office on-site as well. In August, 2002, FOCUS received its 501(c) (3) public charity status and nowadays continues to provide a safe haven and critical life-skills training for women during the crucial transition stage between primary treatment and returning home as responsible parents, family members and people. Focus has successfully served more than 700 women with affordable drug rehab centers services that have helped them go back to sober lifestyles in our community. FOCUS promotes the well-being of women in recovery from alcohol, drugs and additional related behaviors by providing a safe, structured, sober living environment utilizing a service structure that emphasizes trust, respect, confidentiality and compassion. The mission of FOCUS On Recovery Alabama alcohal and drug rehab centers is to provide women a clean and sober living environment that bridges the crucial period between primary treatment and lasting recovery.
