The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab
Centers is a Christian, nonprofit, treatment center meeting the wants of
those suffering from substance abuse problems. The Shoulder offers
outpatient services for both men and women, and residential services for
men.
Mission and Purpose
The philosophy of The Shoulder is that alcoholism/chemical
dependency is a chronic, progressive, in addition to potentially fatal
illness which is treatable. The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers mission
and purpose is to offer long-term residential and outpatient treatment for
those afflicted with the disease of alcohol and drug chemical addictions. The
Shoulder’s philosophy is that everyone deserves a chance toward recovery,
regardless of ability to pay. The Shoulder will never decline a client
solely because of financial reasons. The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers will present a treatment experience which offers treatment for
addiction through a following a Christ-centered, 12-step reproduction.
The client will always be treated with respect and dignity as befits one of God’s kids. Counselors will focus on recovery as a process of restoring the broken harmony of the mind, body and spirit existing in people with addictive harms. The addictive disease is further viewed as a family disease. It is the goal of The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers to restore entire families to wholeness, not just addicted individuals. The Shoulder is influenced that healthy families result in healthier communities. The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers final mission and purpose of The Shoulder is to restore addictive individuals to sobriety, successfully balancing physical and mental health, family problems, and Christ-centered spirituality.

Our Programs
This program is for men only. The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers option enables the individual to both reside at The Shoulder during
treatment and remain employed at the similar time. Fees include therapeutic
services along with a room, utilities, and three meals a day. Program fees are
on sliding scale based on the client’s profits. There is a $400 non-refundable
fee due upon admission. The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers payment of at least
$265 per week is expected from each client. This payment is applied toward whole
program fees. The primary focus is on recovery from drugs and alcohol.
Treatment activities are Monday through Friday, and start promptly at 6:00 p.m.
While a client is a resident at The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers counselors
work with him to develop a treatment plan designed to address his individual
needs.
The client attends numerous educational and procedure groups, 12-step meetings, spirituality groups, substance education meetings, and individual with family counseling sessions. Random drug and alcohol testing is done to insure that The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers provides a safe environment for all clients. While participating in The Shoulder’s program, a client is required to obtain and maintain full-time (40hours per week) employment. This is an important component in helping a client recommence his place in society as a responsible individual. Clients may work Monday through Saturday, but The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers may not work on Sundays.
Clients must return to The Shoulder by 5:00 p.m. If a client comes to The Shoulder without a job, he has ten days in which to obtain employment. Clients are responsible for their own shipping to and from work. If a client does not have a car or license, there is limited bus service, carpools, and numerous businesses within simple walking, bicycling and driving distance from The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers facility. If a client is on site while waiting for a job, he is expected to perform therapeutic activity during running hours. Weekend passes are an earned privilege given at the discretion of the counselor when it is in the best interest of The Shoulder in Spanish Fort, Alabama Alcohol and Drug Rehab Centers.
